Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Really Want To Read But Don't Own Yet

I wasn't planning on posting more than twice this week to slowly get back into the habit of blogging (more about it in my August wrap up), but this topic simply could not be ignored. We all have huge TBRs, but it doesn't make us crave for new, gorgeous, haunting stories any less. I've picked 5 books from books that have already been published and 5 from the unpublished category, and for good measure, added honorable mentions :) Let me know if my choices match yours and which ones do you desperately want to own. If you have a link for today's TTT, leave it down below and I'll try my best to visit you back asap. *all covers link to Goodreads

Well, all of these sound freakin' insane and I can't wait to tackle them. Whether it's the praise from my friends, the overall hype, a gorgeous cover, a thrilling synopsis or just a world I'd like to explore, these are some of the books I'd love to own and read sometime soon-ish. Have any of you read them yet? What did you think? (I know Nick loves Article 5 and she's the main reason this series caught my eye.)

Eagerly, eagerly anticipating all of these. For various reasons: Amour Amour because my obsession over everything that has my favorite twins' name written all over it (plus a NA standalone, love triangle free circus romance? Yes, please!); Retribution because helllllllo!!! *waves* I need to know what happens next after that horrid (in the best possible way) ending of Evolution; Blue Lily, Lily Blue because it's Maggie Stiefvater and Gansey x Blue; Mortal Heart because this series is so kick-a and I need to start The Dark Triumph and get to know the world and the characters even better; The Queen of Zombie Hearts because I just finished the second book and I can't wait to see how this trilogy wraps up. What are your most anticipated unpublished books?

Since all my 'official' picks were 2014 (or earlier) releases, I wanted to parade some 2015 releases that I can't wait to get my hands on. Red Queen looks amazeballs and I've heard good things already; Fuel the Fire is my priority numero uno next year seeing as my favorite character ever is on the cover and it's (a sequel) about my otp of otps and someone better pass me an oxygen tank, because hyperventilation is my thing when it comes to Connor Cobalt and Coballoway; The Summer of Chasing Mermaids because a) diversity & b) it has one of the best-sounding YA contemporary blurbs ever and that cover is simply made of prettiness.

  1. I need you to get Something Real, Article 5 and Mortal Heart! They are all favorites of mine. :D
Also, I want Amour, Amour, Fuel the Fire and The Summer of Chasing Mermaids. There's too much of a wait for those books! :D
I don't think you would like Kiss of Deception though! Have we talked about that book?

  2. The Kiss of Deception was IN-CRE-DI-BLE. Oh, I loved it so much...but maybe Immabe a little biaised since I'm fond on princess stories? hehe
Is Red Queen on NetGalley? I think I saw it on there but not very sure. I didn't know what to think of it but if you say you heard it's good than okay...Why not.

  3. These Broken Stars is sooo great, I loved it way more than I thought I would. I can't wait to read The Kiss of Deception, I've read one other book of this author and it was amazing so I hope I'll like this as well. :)) I have yet to read the second novels of The White Rabbit Chronicles and The Raven Cycle but the first books were really good. I'm really looking forward to read Red Queen and The Summer of Chasing Mermaids.
Great list, I hope you'll enjoy all of these. :))

  5. OMG YUS TO BLUE LILY, LILY BLUE. I've yet to read a Maggie Stiefvater book I didn't love so...*grabby hands* I can't wait until it's out. ;) I also want to read Article 5 and Kiss of Deception. Gosh, there are so many books that I need to read. SO MANY. Like I've read nearly 150 books this year and I still feel so incredibly behind. Books are awesome. Stories are the best. The end.

  9. I've only read The Kiss of Deception from your already-published list and I loved it. Although I would have problem with love triangles in general, it surprisingly worked out for me here. I would love to read The Archived and These Broken Stars too. I've yet to read anything from Maggie Stiefvater because I'm a loser but I have read Grave Mercy and I absolutely enjoyed it. I'm super dying for the Red Queen as well. I'll try to catch up with Krista and Becca Ritchie's books because I have Addicted To You now thanks to you. Hurrah!

  10. Something Real!! I loved that book so very muchly!

  11. ARTICLE 5!!! I agree with Nick, Siiri, you definitely need to read that series! I've heard nothing but amazing things about Something Real as well, so that one is on my must-get-to-soon list as well. And I'm DYING for The Red Queen. That gorgeously creepy cover is just calling to me, I don't even care what the book is about. I just know I need it:)

  12. I read These Broken Stars (which was pretty decent) and I own The Archived (which I still need to read). I'll probably track down The Kiss of Deception at the library sometime soon, too. :)

  14. I was surprised when I didn't see FTF on your list! But then it was in your honorable mentions and all was right in the world ;) I'm not familiar with the other books on your list (besides Amour Amour of course) but I'm a sucker for beautiful covers and they all looks fabulous, especially The Archived. That one is calling out to me!

  15. Haven't seen the cover for Amor Amour...

  16. So many of these are on my list too! Too many books! I wish more books were on audio so they could help me tackle my TBR a bit more :)

  17. Okay, I have totally cracked up over your comment about Fuel of Fire. And I know I must sound out of the loop, but what's an otp?!

  19. I'm mad I missed this top ten. It would have been a good one. I've read quite a few if these and enjoyed them. Great picks Siiri!

  20. Blue Lily, Lily Blue! Me too, Siiri! I have but need to read These Broken Stars and of course I want to read The Addicted series. Great choices, here, Siiri! :)

  21. WHAA?? I thought you already had The Archived!

These Broken Stars!! If you plan on reading that one soon, let me know so that I can stalk you and pester you with questions about what you made of it. I want to read it because it's all pretty but I am also worried that it'll be a book I won't like.

Something Real is a book I keep hearing wonderfull things about and then I wonder if it's a book that was meant for me because I don't like reality tv. *sigh* I just imagine that I'd be so so angry at the mother through the entirety of the book that I wouldn't be able to focus on anything else.

THE KISS OF DECEPTION. I wants to read it. Plus I kind of spoiled the whole love triangle thing for myself and I has a happy so I will go through with it :DD

AMOUR AMOUR. But you already know I want to read that too. I mean a circus romance. That is ALL.

Quick q, did you read The Dream Thieves? Because if you have I need to discuss a character (unless you really liked them. awks)
But yes to Blue Lily, Lily Blue. Gansey and Blue finally get their shot man. And a certain someone BETTER LIVE or I shall die.

You know, I totally checked out Red Queen after you mentioned it. I had my eye on it and was worried about the love triangle and then I read a review that assured me and totally sold me on the book (it appealed to my dark soul). :D

    Fantastic list, Siiri <333

  22. Hehe why am I not surprised that there are at least a few Becca and Krista Ritchie books in here? I am looking forward to Amour Amour and fangirling with everyone else reading a new series of theirs!

THESE BROKEN STARS is one I would absolutely rec again as well, I mean it was my favourite read of 2013 (Even though I failed to do a top reads of 2013 post but anyways). It had such a wonderful slow burn romance.

Both The Archived and Something Real are on my list as well, in fact I need to read all V.E. Schwab books stat!

Every time I see the Queen of Zombie Hearts cover I laugh cos it's so ugly XD no offense to anyone.

    Great post lovely! <3

  23. I knew, just KNEW that there would be Ritchie's books!! And you managed two, you're really awesome. I love your picks and yeah Nick is right, Article 5 is a really great book. I hope you'll enjoy it. Same goes for These Broken Stars, plus you get this amazing cover with it ;) It's a win-win situation.
I cannot wait to read Mortal Heart either!!! I'm super excited for it. Not to mention Blue Lily, Lily Blue!! I mean it's Maggie :D And Red Queen, but I'm afraid because of all this hype. We'll see. Great list, dear :)

  24. Siiri I love you for adding These Broken Stars, The Kiss of Deception, and The Retribution of Mara Dyer! TBS was amazing. So amazing! (Jeann and I are so obsessed with it haha) Once you read it, you'll probably be gushing for the sequel! Thankfully, the release date of it is not so far away, so you'll be able to deal with the waiting! xD

The Kiss of Deception is perfection, really. Fantasy, hot steamy romance, and mystery—all combined into something beautiful, rare, and lush. I'd really recommend beginning with that book from all of the ones you've added!

Man, I've found another Mara Dyer fangirl! *hugs* I love that series. Michelle Hodkin is a brilliant writer, and I can't wait to see how Noah and Mara's relationship gets hotter, and how the trilogy will end... Although I tear up just thinking about it.

Fantastic list, hun! Enjoy these beauties, and let me know what you thought of them!

  25. These Broken Stars and Something Real - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON, LADY?! GET ON THAT. Yeah, I am just a little bit obsessed with both of those books. SO GOOD. You will be shipping, I promise. :D
I want to read Article 5 too - although I heard the heroine is kind of annoying, but I like a triangle free series.
Mara Dyer and Zombie Heart - yes!! I need these conclusions like I need air. I'm TERRIFIED for Mara. What is gonna happen, Siiri?!
And Sarah Ockler's next book sounds so adorable. I loved the Little Mermaid when I was a kid. <3

    Great list, chicka!

  26. OMG yes, I need to know what the heck is going on with Mara Dyer, I have Red Queen and can tell you Archived and Article 5 were good! Awesome list!

  27. These Broken Stars - One of the best books I read last year. Absolutely pheonominal! The romance, writing and characterization were absolutely top-notch. If you like the movie Titanic, this is definitely something you'll like. Seriously though - GO READ THIS! It's wonderful! <3

Something Real - One of my fav books of the year so far. (Gosh! This whole comment is just a lot of gushing - but what can I say?! You've got some pretty darn epic picks!) The characters and the premise are just absolutely well-done, and I have a feeling you'll like it too!

The Retribution of Mara Dyer - I've heard so many glowing reviews for the Mara Dyer series, but for some reason I've neglected to start it. I know how much you like the series though, so I hope this one as just as good as the previous installments! :)

Thanks for sharing Siiri, and FABULOUS picks! <3

  29. WHOA! I can't believe you haven't read These Broken Stars yet! If you're a fan of space opera drama, and an environment that is absolutely bleak and gives you a sense of defeatedness, and a romance and hope blossoming in such a hostile setting, you'll definitely want to read that one. I am really, really endorsing that book! As soon as you can, ma cherie! You must read it soon!!
